B-YW-C17 Advent calendar spectacular

This is an amazing advent calendar with the figures depicting the true story of Christmas. There are 24 figures shown in the photo which are velcroved to the wall hanging. This is how the completed image will look on Christmas Eve. On the 1st December, the individual figures will be positioned in their twenty four pockets. Day by day a figure will be placed on the wall hanging. The “busier’ the wall hanging looks, the closer to Christmas day that we are. A wonderful family activity. The individual pieces are fully safe for children. The underlying base of the wall hanging is jute material. Cotton material overlays this. Individual pieces are made with cotton material. The red cotton pockets have been hand stitched with the different numbers.

The wall hanging has a jute braided cord for displaying.

Length approx. 60cms.

Handmade and purchased from the fair trade organization, YWCA Craft Centre, Bangladesh. The YWCA Craft centres are located in the capital Dhaka, and also in Kalijong and Savar villages. About 450 ladies, many uneducated and previously destitute are employed by the YWCA. Benefits include a compulsory 10% savings programme, interest free loans and health and legal support.
