The association of Craftsmen Sur Andino east is born like product from a division in the Braid from Gold from the Community from Chinchera, in Puno, after the separation of 5 groups of AIP in 1992. This is why some leaders between them Dionisio Flora and Alejandro Mendoza which supported old leading AIP, after the problems which caused the retirement of the five groups, they were stroked with several craftsmen who supported them. Almost in a way parallel with the formation of CIAP, they decided to form a new organization on 17 August of 1992, by obtaining its legal personality in February 1993 with the name of Association of Craftsmen Sur Andino of Puno (ADARSA). As of the construction of the CIAP they immediately came into contact with the leaders while pouring in March 1993 like partners under test. In its time they succeeded in grouping up to 30 families, then appeared divergences between the partners what caused the exit of several of enter of them, it remains currently 20 partners.
The Organisation
The general assemblies have all last Wednesday of the month to evaluate, plan, program and carry out activities of organization, there are in the same way weekly meetings (Wednesday) with all the partners to evaluate the production. The direction is made of five members: the president that which is the representative and the person in charge for the organization; secretary of acts who undertakes the administrative part; the secretary of the economy and economic management; the secretary of marketing that which is responsible to receive, to distribute, control and evaluate the orders and finally, that which is the representative of the social activities and other organizations.
Production and Commercialisation
Currently association counts 20 partners who prepare articles of clothing of alpaca. There are a design team and quality which is composed of the secretary of marketing and 3 partners of the group, those which gained in a contest at the time of a qualification.
The secretary of marketing undertakes to receive and to distribute the orders, those are also distributed between all the partners, in the event of non-accomplishment of some of them it is granted to the fastest craftsmen, when the order is small is divided between all. The articles are prepared by each partner in their houses, those which are also directed by the equipment design and quality, and are evaluated in the weekly meetings, so that they can be delivered to the date indicated. The direct assembly and/or a commission undertake to make packing and the sending. The payments are against delivery, each partner leaves with the organization 3% of the total value for the administrative expenses.
Services and benefits that receive the partners
The principal benefit of the partners is the marketing of their products, because it constitutes an important contribution with the family receipt. There are a percentage of the funds to support with the partners in cases urgency or disease. The associates benefit moreover loans, qualifications that prone the organization as well for the production, as social, political and cultural.

Activities and social projection
The organization prone of the local sales during all the year, as they as take share with the local fairs each time as they are carried out. One carries out tombolas annually, of the sporting events of fraternity inside and out of the Community in order to maintain the unit and to establish relations with other organizations and authorities. They also take share with the processions for the birthday of the Community and the sector of Chucuito in an organized way.

To defend and preserve the cultural identity of the Andes and the Amazon regions.
Promote the organization of artisans and the strengthening of existing ones.
Bring about improvement in the living conditions of the artisans, their families and communities.
To support the complete development of the communities where the associations are located.

CIAP (Central Interregional Artisans of Peru ) is a non-profit ,self managed association of artisan producer groups .It was founded in 1992.
Ciap's mission is to promote the development of the artisans, their families and communities by marketing their products under better terms of trade.Its member groups have different craft specialities eg the wonderful array of handpainted ceramics ( including nativity sets ), the making of an intersting variety of musical instruments, unique jewellery items and handknitted alpaca clothing.The artisans are located in various regions of Peru as well as marginalised districts of Lima.

Group: Camacani
Name: Multisectorial association of craftsmen aymara Camacani
Location: Community of Camacani, orfevrery, Puno
Products: Articles to dress alpaca, chompas, vests, chalinas, gloves, caps, etc.
The complete name is Pluri-sectoral Association of Craftsmen Aymara Camacani, it is composed of 65 partners and they are devoted to the clothes industry of articles of clothing of alpaca.
Before forming the group, Eusebio Vilca, Andrea Canqui, Anacelma Vilca, Marcelina Chahuares and other people took share an organization called Ipa-Perú in the Community of Chinchera, having a nonconformity with the prices, into 1978 they decide to approach of what is a monk of the pastoral equipment of Mocachi, by requiring support for the sale of their products, after a time they obtained the assistance but this implied to improve quality radically and to work with costs; at the beginning it was very difficult for them but arose with much optimism; after a time, while having acquired enough experiment with what is a monk one legally constituted like association on 5 March 1979 with the denomination Pluri-sectoral Artisan at Aymara Camacani, in their trajectory they had changes of their Directing Council every two years.
In CIAP they poured the year 1997 with in the chair Mrs. Eufemia Chahuares de Branches, as a result of the work of Cristina Suaña as voluntary of the United Nations which worked with the service of CIAP, then they assembled level being given excellent quality their products and the responsibility with their compromises.
The organisation
Association currently counts 65 partners, all women devoted to the clothes industry of articles of alpaca; the general meetings with all the partners are weekly Thursday. The Directing Council is composed of 5 members and they always meet before the general meetings to prepare the diary.
Production and commercialisation
The orders are received in the room of coordination of the groups of Puno and then are delivered to the Secretary of Marketing. The orders are distributed under two methods, by drawing when the order is small and that it does not exceed, and another by order of the list when there is order sufficient for all. The production which each craftsman in his houses carries out while combining with his house works or of the field.
To the fixed date the craftsmen deliver their products which is checked and qualified by the secretary of marketing with the support of other members of the directive. Packing is made by the directive. The payment is made once received the payment of CIAP, to the partners one makes a handing-over of 15% for the general overheads and organization.
Services and benefits that have the partners
The principal benefit of the organization is the marketing of the products; the payment by the products is considerably larger at market prices.
The organization offers support to its members in the cases accidents, diseases, death and other situations. The partners also profit from gifts for Christmas, economic aids, etc especially practise the interdependent support like the ayni and the minka.
Activities and social projection
They take share with the local fairs, events of exposure and sale, the festivals of the sector like processions.
They take share with the qualifications which the various institutions like the Rural Coordinator carry out, FONCODES, MITINCI, and PROMPEX.
They take share with the social activities of the Community like festivities, birthdays, events sporting, etc and offer their support to the Community of Camacani in cases necessary

Group: Creaciones del Ande
Name: Association of Craftswomen “Creaciones del Ande”
Location: District San Martín, town of Puno
Products: Articles to dress alpaca fiber: chompas, gloves, caps, chalinas, etc.
Association Creaciones del Ande is a product of a scission of association Sur Andino. Initially association Sur Andino had its seat in the town of Puno where it had several craftsmen like members; they subsequently change seat at the Community of Chinchera where they had the majority of their partners. This fact created a conflict because the craftsmen of Chinchera had difficulties in go constantly in Puno and the craftsmen of Puno had the same problem. Finally, the craftsmen of Puno were separate while remaining like an abstract group; subsequently, in 1997 they manage to be made up like a new association and pour with CIAP in the capacity as test. During year 2000 they were suspended by the CIAP being given the problems intern while reinvesting recently in February the 2002.
The organisation
Currently association counts 16 partners those which meet monthly to treat businesses of the organization, the achievement of the orders and the advance of the production. They have the Directing Council which undertakes to take care of the good walk of the organization.
Production and commercialisation
The orders are distributed between all the partners when that is possible, the products are elaborate in the house of the partners to be delivered to a given date; the reception, control and the offices are carried out by the members of the directive.
Services and benefits that receive the partners
The principal benefit that the partners receive are the receipts by the sale of their products; although being in the city the craft industry is an important source of receipts which supplements the receipt of joint which works in various occupations.
Activities and production
The members of the group carry out activities of fraternity and take share with the activities which the groups of Puno organize which belong to CIAP.
